Business Safari – Keeping Remote Employees Engaged

John Carroll

About the Session

Introduction

Whether as an experiential online learning event, extended into a short, virtual workshop series, “Busniess Safari” is centred on John’s “Purposeful Leadership” concept. A Business Safari is an experiential event that uses an African animal fable to carry key messages to the audience.

Right now, John’s fable “How The Meerkats Formed a Family” is a great tool to teach how organisations can build strong employee engagement and show real support for their people, especially those struggling to get or keep their team engaged because of the need for remote work.

Key Take Away:

This program will:

  1. Show how business leaders can develop stronger employee engagement and team bonding in this time of crisis through the “Principles of Purposeful Leadership”.

  2. Bring some light to the gloom by using an experiential African animal fable called “How The Meerkats Formed a Family” to carry the presentation’s key messages. It’s entertaining, educational and something very different.

Key Messages:

  • Leaders lead people, not processes, especially in times of crisis.

  • Shared Purpose underpins personal engagement.

  • Collaborative Communication creates strong teams.

Leaders will learn:

  • How they can use this difficult time to develop greater trust, closer teamwork and bond their people more closely.

  • How they can create an environment and atmosphere that supports and promotes individual engagement through shared purpose.

  • How to create communication concepts that draw their team together through shared experience, openness and mutual vulnerability.
